You could say I grew up in/on radio. In fact, I was the result of a radio station contest which began my passion for radio. I was broadcast on the air at KDSX in Denison Texas, June 1st, 1973 when my father played a recording of my baby screams on the station via a two-way radio from the station news car... JINXED!
I’m fortunate to have gotten in on the caboose of the radio industry in the late 80’s, getting my FCC license at the age of 14. Learning how to slip cue albums to play on air, carting up spots on those old 2 track carts, pulling the AP news feed, splicing and taping 2 track reel to reel, and 8 track recording. I’ve always had a passion for audio production, writing and voicing commercials and being creative.
You may have heard me on the air at radio stations in Corpus Christi, Austin, Tallahassee or Dallas most recently, and more than likely I owe $10 to somebody along the way…
